The opening of BEYOND UTOPIA tells you that none of the footage is recreational and is all authentic, and you will not believe what they managed to capture with this story. A heartbreaking look at civilians trying to escape North Korea that will stay with me for a long time.

MUTT shows the life of a transgender guy through a day in his life, which is packed and can be messy narratively. However, the different dynamics between him and his family help glue the pieces together in a way that is still absolutely worth a watch.

SLOW captures intimacy in a way that is hard to look away from, beautifully validating asexuality which is rarely shown on television or film. The purposefully slow pacing works as you fall in love with the leading characters and their relationship.

TRIANGLE OF SADNESS is insane and over-the-top but brilliant. With so many twists and turns in the narrative, political and social comedy is explored through humour that will have you non-stop laughing. A must watch.
