i wouldn't last a day on Arrakis. the sandworms? the heat? the lack of vegetation? the wind? having to fight just because? can't even cry because apparently it's a waste of resources. the water of life?? shut uppp. i would rather die. i would, however, believe in the muad'dib๐Ÿคš๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜”

no matter what the very beginning - as soon as the lights go off and ThAt sound plays - will always give me a heart attack. please stop!! anyways, the rumours are true, dune: part 2 is beyond the imaginable. a masterpiece. i wasn't thinking clearly when, for a second, i thought people were exaggerating. they were not. my apologies. I need to start by saying that the highlight, for me, was Austin Butler's performance. the way he looked and acted completely psychotic (just like Princess Irulan described him) - and no, the elvis voice was nowhere to be seen (heard). i want to talk with who decided that he should be bald. noooooo. it was literally frightening. i was sold as soon as he was in screen. one of the best, if not the best, performances he has ever done. i was speechless on how he handled his character, I just hope that the spirit feyd-rautha doesn't get to him. please someone save Austin!!

Denis Villenueve came back stronger than ever with his vision for Dune, cleaner than ever. if part one was astounding, an entirely glorious experience, part two is something that only resides on dreams. the possibility of having everything looking so lively and touchable, was so beautiful even if the nothing about the story itself is inviting. existence per se is monstrous. everything is driven by power, greed and prophecies. a belief that a man will bring peace - but what if he doesn't? what if pain will only get worse? I love how Timothรฉe Chalamet played Paul this time, relying on an enigmatic performance. he is such a brilliant actor!!!! furthermore, on the same note, no character is a reliable narrator. not a single one. there is something so evil and so close. the resolution looked so close and palpable, but I'm afraid that it's only going to get worse. Chani was possibly the only sane character, she sees beyond the lies and the faith and the delusions. especially after everything that happened. if anyone was in doubt regarding Zendaya's acting, this film was the absolute proof. she is an astounding actor! i felt her pain.

my beef with Villeneuve regarding the dialogue discourse that he started, why would he say that when this film had some memorable lines???? anyways, but he was right regarding how visuals rule and also sound. the music score, once again, was out of this world. ah and the sound mixing!!! I'm so glad to have loud sounds yet I can't still hear what the actors are saying *mwuahhhh*. the only thing that i wish had been different was Florence Pugh, in the sense that i thought her role was bigger. my bad though. can't wait for the next chapter!!!!

on another note, this was possibly the most people I've seen walking out of a film. can someone explain to me how some people willingly spend money on a ticket only to waste it ??? not to mention how it's incredibly rude and disrespectful to everyone who worked on the film for months (even years). can't people just sit quietly for 3 hours??? it's not that hard

anyways WHAT A MASTERPIECE!!!!<3
