Just as Count Orlok has with his subject…this film had me gripped and did not let me go for the entire runtime.
I don’t understand how a film can be so sensual yet so bloody terrifying and it work SO well. Beautiful camera work (especially in transitional shots), an atmospheric tension that lures in the background at all time and a tragic yet daunting musical score makes this a top tier horror for me.
Literally astounding performances across the board…
