Struggling to give this an honest rating straight out the cinema. Having trekked to Melbourne to see Dune Part II in glorious 15/70mm IMAX film with my beautiful partner, so much about this experience was just overwhelming delight. The combination of seeing a film I’ve waited so long to see, with the most important person in my life, in the world’s largest 15/70mm projected cinema… it’s a lot. 

Of course, it’s a triumph in large scale filmmaking & so much of the nuance in characters plotting & prophecies is the stuff you dream of… but I also am unsure how much my experience was amplified by the above listed factors. Will definitely sit on it for a bit & rewatch once I’m back home, but for now I’ll just say that I’m pretty blown away!
