Extremely gnarly with no pulled punches. This film has such an evil presence from the get-go. Even before the studio logos hit you already are hit with disturbing imagery that makes you feel gross and unsafe. Sally Hawkins is demented here, absolutely incredible performance that really displays her range. The manipulation on display is such a gross use of power it is beyond disturbing.
