Insane. INSANE. It’s just INSANE how you wouldn’t ever expect a film like this to be more than a supernatural slasher. Because this actually looks AMAZING. The set design and cinematography are just unbelievable. If you guys haven’t seen Pumpkinhead, please check it out like asap… it might be one of the best Halloweeny movies out there. Obviously an annual watch for me from here on out.

I didn’t realize it until now but this was single handedly the movie that got me into practical effects and prosthetic creature makeup. Ugh I’m such a big fan of all of it, monsters, gore, masks, stunts, and just everything about practical fantasy and horror flicks. Halloweentown I LOVE you.

Gonna keep it completely real with you guys. This was so fun until that kill, and then it’s kinda fun after it. Like I’m not kidding there’s one kill here that’s just too yucky. And that’s coming from someone who LOVES practical gore effects in film. Hella fun movie if you know it’s trash from beginning to end! But… I’m gonna have to take away half a star for that specific slash, sorry guys :(
