Doug Dillaman’s review published on Letterboxd:
Seems like it's borne of the idea of mashing up CURE and MEMORIES OF MURDER, which given how great those movies are, I'm okay with that, even if Na isn't as distinctive of a stylist as Bong or Kurosawa. (SEEDING OF A GHOST is also a relevant, if even more obscure, point of comparison mentioned by my viewing companion.) With an equal dedication to playing individual scenes for tension and handling a narrative with lots of rug pulling, Na doesn't nail all his gearshifts, and some of the finer narrative points are more confusing than haunting. But when this is running on all pistons, it's fucking aces.
