On the one hand, it's about as standard as such tribute documentaries go. Let's be honest, it's virtually impossible to pack such a vast and vital career in 105 brief minutes. Hell, that runtime wouldn't be enough to properly dive into the Star Wars scores alone. A docies format similar to Light & Magic would've worked much better for a subject of this magnitude.

With the transformerization of Godzilla that's been happening in Hollywood as part of their MonsterVerse initiative, it's pretty heartwarming to see Toho Studios not only keeping the traditions of the legendary franchise alive on home turf but also, in this specific case, paying direct tribute to the 1954 masterwork that started it all and that still remains the best one of the bunch.
