Alex Preston’s review published on Letterboxd:
Can’t deny that the “Previously on Mission: Impossible” clip show wasn’t a strong start, but once this movie gets going, it’s an unbelievably thrilling ride. The submarine and wing-walking sequences are easily among the best of the whole series.
Wish this movie and the previous one were more self contained like the first two McQuarrie installments. I can see the self-importance for Cruise in this movie being a demerit for some people, but I actually love how this movie reads as Tom Cruise saving the movie industry (which is the world to him) from being destroyed by AI.
