I love this movie for entirely different reasons than the first. The first was slower, I loved the world building, enjoyed the music more, the way in which it concisely (for me at least, not others) told the first part of such a dense and complex story. This movie however is to me a grand epic. The sound editing was superb, and the details of the sounds of the desert and the machines and the tools used is just awesome. I loved this movie more for the visuals, action, and just the overall stakes. This may have been the most tense I’ve been in a theater since interstellar. There’s things that I think could’ve been better such as stilgars character arc, the final battle sequence, and the emperors portrayal (not walkens best performance imo) but everything is overshadowed by the sheer scope and risk taken in this movie. Undoubtedly my favorite scenes were those with Austin butlers feud fautha, especially on Giedi Prime. Might be one of my favorite scenes in a movie ever. Overall, need Dune Messiah need more Denis, need more cinema. Long live the fighters!
