For my fifth and for now final time delving into Arrakis on the big screen, I knew it had to be in IMAX. What more can I say that I haven't already mentioned during the previous four viewings? Plenty, because this movie is an absolute knockout - it draws you in even deeper than the first Dune and builds on the established characters, delivering a truly unforgettable experience. The emotions stirred by this film, especially its conclusion, are unlike anything I've felt in theaters before. This time, alongside the perfect ending with „Kiss the Ring“, the scene where Paul strides down the dune, distant and slightly out of focus, the score resonating deeply, before revealing his massive army behind him reaching from the complete left to the right side of the screen with no end in sight and leading them into battle against the emperor's forces, was even more epic.
But what I might want even more than a longer version of this, is a 10hrs+ behind the scenes - it‘s that interesting how they accomplished this masterpiece.
