threw this on because i needed something easy & familiar as background noise while working (which is pretty much all i can consume lately) and kept thinking about how wrong i was to be so warm on this when i first saw it– it's great! the ant-man series is easily my favorite in the mcu and the only one that i have not soured on in a rewatch. i have no idea why some people seem to not like peyton reed's direction, he's one of the few in the current crop who actually worked in comedy before marvel, and it really shows. he lets the jokes come from the characters' personalities instead of making everybody A Guy Who's Saying A Smart Line. i think he's wonderful. even stan lee's cameo line is funny here! god i love ant-man
