Set in a present-day Los Angeles where everyone is defined not by who they are but by what they do, “Lurker” follows Matthew, who becomes obsessed with pop star Oliver after a chance encounter.
They strike up a friendship and Matthew ends up being a trusted part of Oliver's posse. Oliver even hires him to fim him on his tour. But, obsession turns dangerous when the friendship turns sours.
This is one of those slow burn pictures that continues to sizzle unconformfortably as it goes.
