Made a last minute decision to watch this at the Revue Cinema tonight and I wasn't disappointed. This person in the row in front of me could absolutely not control themselves any time Po and Kylo showed up on screen. When Kylo froze Rey with the force they were sporadically rocking back and forth in their chair. So hilarious. Usually I complain about disruptions but since I wasn't looking forward to this it was a nice surprise.
For the film itself, yeah it's goood. "Ohh but it's a rehash of this and that", Well fuck you I think it does it good. It has fan servicy moments and some plot similarities to the original but it was necessary to reintroduce the audience to the series after the terrible prequels.
The sound editing, mixing and design are sooo good and I'm glad I got to have this cinema experience again. When I first saw it I watched in 3D and touched my glasses' lenses with greesy popcorn fingers and could barely see half the film.
Also Daisy Ridley is just so... 🥺
