Ani: Me go fuck myself? Me fuck myself? You go fuck yourself and your fucking mother, motherfucker!
A roller coaster of emotions is present throughout Anora and Sean Baker melds them all together so well. A movie I was so hyped to see and one that did not disappoint.
With a surprising amount of humour throughout it's run time, it can make you forget what Ani is going through, thanks to the other cast , the chemistry between them all and Baker's writing.
But Mikey Madison really is the tour de force from start to end, she gives a phenomenal performance, taking us on a chaotic journey that's filled with tension and comedy, before concluding with an ultimately heartbreaking end.
A strong movie from Baker, and definitely one to revisit.
