watching the downfall of the marvel cinematic universe, as someone who has been seeing marvel movies in theaters since 2011, has been nothing short of agonizing. but this movie was like digging through garbage and finding a 20 dollar bill. so yayyy

For some reason, this movie keeps making my brain circle back to the (seemingly sourceless) quote that always floats around Tumblr and Instagram and TikTok: "You still haven't met all of the people who are going to love you." It's true to the characters in this, in a way that makes me want to rewatch everything they've already been in with the knowledge that this rich and deeply-human found family is on the horizon for them.

Thunderbolts was a breath of fresh air. It was super funny thanks to its top-notch team dynamic, but it also had a real dark side that matches the times we're living in. Marvel truly struck gold with Florence Pugh.
I wish the Doomsday announcement came after because I spent a lot of the movie thinking, "I'm not worried because I saw their chair." That feeling won't matter in the long run, but a movie-watching experience being altered by a five-hour studio gimmick is something I do not care for.
I had such a good time watching this. I love Vatican Mean Girls. It's shot so well, and has one of my favorite scores of the year.
