Movie Good or Movie Bad?’s review published on Letterboxd:
LET’S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Dune: Part Two feels like the full expansion of every idea, theme, and character presented in the first film. Immediately entering among the greatest science-fiction sequels of all time, this film tackles the danger of blind faith and unchecked power. Paul Atreides and Lady Jessica especially are unrecognizable at the end of this journey and bravo for Denis being able to shove this into one film. There are many amazing performances here, but Rebecca Ferguson and Austin Butler are by far the standouts here.
I really felt my audience missed out in understanding this was a cautionary tale, but that’s not a weakness of the film by any stretch of the imagination, it will just make the payoff in Dune: Messiah all that more sweet.
