It’s gonna piss me off forever that this came out before stunts became a category at the Oscar’s.

We’re not treading new ground here but the formula and the action set pieces are so BBQ it’s undeniable. The stuff we see Ana de Armas do with grenades and a flamethrower — it was a honor. Eve takes “fighting like a girl” to new heights and her style of fighting is such a breath of brutal fresh air. You add John MF Wick on the side of this, you’re cooking with hot grease. The first 45 minutes of this film limp along in the shadow of its Daddy-franchise but then Chad Stah…I mean Len Wiseman toots a key bump, takes his shirt off, and lights the TNT with a short Wick.
John Wick is rarely the fastest or strongest, and sometimes he’s not even the most skilled. He’s just fucking tougher. Ana de Armas embodies that idea here.
She’s a woman of focus, commitment, and sheer will.

The pinnacle of this franchise and a perfect film in every way. The ensemble here is absolutely nuts. My favorite MI story; having Tom front as John Lark, bringing back Lane, dealing with the fallout of the Syndicate goddddddd. Twists and turns galore. The stunts are unfathomably breathtaking — from the halo jump to Tom climbing and then flying a helicopter, TOM BREAKING HIS ANKLE DURING THE ROOFTOP JUMP — we are not worthy. Grateful I got to witness this in…
