Jake Alda Coffey’s review published on Letterboxd:
I got to see the most recent best picture winner at the New Beverly tonight! Anora’s a great movie, and even more enjoyable watching it with a sold out audience. Oscar winner Mikey Madison is flawless as Anora. Its been such a joy seeing her career develop over the years from the tv show Better Things, to being lit on fire in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Scream, to her award winning performance in this movie. I’m so excited to see what she does next. It’s also been great seeing Sean Baker evolve as a director over the years. He’s been a pioneer for the new generation of indie filmmakers and I can’t wait to see what his project is after winning four Oscars for Anora. Anora is an inspired best picture winner and one that’s easily rewatchable.
