A wildly interesting and unique mishmash of genres with unifying themes and messaging. 

Incredible performances from all involved and the pacing is perfect. The run time zips by even as each act gets a tad less interesting than the preceding one.

A…good direct to prime movie??? Twilight zone

Totally forgettable, ridiculous and predictable… but often hilarious, clever and the cast is excellent.

Basically a shot for shot remake of the incredible OG, but unlike Disney’s vapid and soulless cash grabs, DeBois manages to retain some of the heart.

That said it still can’t justify its reason to exist beyond $$. The animation on the dragons was great, it’s almost like they shoulda kept it….

Toothless is just the best.

Very creative and interesting debut. There’s really a lot to like here from the theremin based score, the time looping story telling, the excellent performance from Eve Connolly, the tension building and the unpredictable plot turns. 

It gets a bit ridiculous at times (no one can think that fast for these sewing solutions) but I found the absurd to be fun. You can tell this was born from a short as it gets tedious but I really hope this eventually finds an audience.

Incredible storytelling, incredible animation, incredible kills and gore. This rocked.

Lacks the pep and zeal of his best work but a decent Wes Anderson film is still a really, really good film.

Ana de Armasssssss. She’s amazing and shows her action chops in No Time To Die was no fluke.

Minimum substance, maximum fun. Too long but goddamn that was so entertaining and such a good time.

These movies have extremely underrated scores. Also, the tangiers scene is absolutely legendary.
5 stars if not for the aged editing and camerawork, it makes me dizzy now.

The rapid fire editing and shaky camerawork have aged extremely poorly. But this movie is still exciting and very entertaining with great stunts and a fun globe trotting story.

Blurs the line between too-on-the-nose annoying preaching and genius satire/vicious takedown of our current reality, but the cast keep it together. 

Armstrong is no doubt a great writer and has a knack for this but some of it is just too real and drives me insane. That said I hate our current state of leadership and the growing American oligarchy so I’m on board.

Absolutely gutting film. This is my first time watching as a true adult and I think I’m good on it for the rest of my life now.

Its exercise in style over ‘substance’ (🥲😏) gets a bit redundant, but it’s truly an unforgettable and unflinchingly grim film, respectfully. 

Growing up around addition this very much hits home and the direction is incredible. Clint Mansell’s score is iconic and he doesn’t get enough props for it.

Ben Foster is the most underrated actor of our generation.

The best war movie ever made. Anyone who says it’s just the first 20 minutes is an idiot. It’s truly a perfect film.

An absolute atrocity. Not even in the same universe as the original trilogy. 

Amateur at best; using classic needle drops to hide the fact it has no idea how to pay homage to the 80s slashers it wishes it was.

Why didn’t they bring back Leigh Janiak? She’s not doing anything is she?

While better than most of them, like almost every Disney live action remake (aka shot for shot cash grab); the soul and charm has been replaced with faux nostalgia, no reason for existing and laziness. 

Stitch is still hilarious and adorable. Just go watch the original.

Apple is the new Netflix I guess. These generic star-studded straight-to-streaming action trash piles got to stop. The amount of better movies this rips off is staggering. I truly hated this movie. 

I know everyone needs a paycheck but John, Guy, Natalie…what the hell are yall doing? No one in this is having a good time but everyone is loving gobbling up Apples money, so kudos there. 

Note to filmmakers: the overhead shot of a car chase that is so clearly CGI that you think is cool…ITS NOT COOL. Stop doing it.

I also despise what this movie represents in the state of the industry. It’s a 0/5 if I put that feeling into my rating. Anywho, not sure who thought National Treasure with none of the fun was worth spending $100+ million on but I’m glad Apple is gonna take a bath on it.

Literally the exact same movie as the Blue Angels one, soooo eh mostly over it….but also, god damn I love fighter jets and I’m a sucker for this aerial photography

The most ambitious, flawed, white knuckle, and ridiculous of the entire series. 

Tom Cruise is a god and while I had some problems with it, there’s no denying it’s pure entertainment value.

 Too many flashbacks and “hey this cool thing from another movie” weigh down the first hour, but it also has 2 of the most breath taking set pieces perhaps ever. 

Again, flawed, yet this one felt like it had the most true stakes of world ending danger and unquestionably exciting.

One of the funniest movies in years. If you like dark, uncomfortable, dry, genius and absurdist humor, this is for you x1000

My onnnnnllyyy (very minor) complaint is it felt like a comedy sketch dragged a little too long but my god what a ride.

Just delightful

Andor has made this incredible film a perfect film. Some flaws are easily overlooked by the fantastic action, great characters, unreal score and tight pacing. Oh and fucking Vader. It’s time to bump this to a 5 outta 5.

I absolutely adore this movie and I know more so than it deserves. Jackson sucks me into the world from minute one and doesn’t let go.

That said, it’s preposterous he took an hour to get to Skull Island.

Not as unwatchable as the review bombing would lead you to believe but still a disaster. 

Rachel Zegler is innocent and Gal Gadot is embarrassingly miscast (truly an all time, hilariously bad performance). Disney will certainly never learn its lesson but they should.

The fact that this gem bombed* and the absolute garbage 2016 suicide squad made $750m is pathetic.
