Holy moly where do I even begin… I think it’s safe to say this definitely upped the ante. Dune: Part Two was an epic sci-fi adventure that continues the story from the 2021 predecessor and it is magnificent. Denis Villeneuve further proves that he’s a powerhouse director because the way this is shot is out of this world. The action scenes are glorious and honestly nonstop, there was so much more action than I expected in this one. The music is electrifying, the cinematography is coated in gold and the acting is hyper convincing. Timothée Chalamet is ruling the industry right now and here he finally puts on his big boy pants. Someone I loved was Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha who I needed more of, he was so great as a maniacal sex freak. The fight between Paul Atreides and Feyd-Rautha had me falling off my seat. It’s been a while since the final fight in a film is just an instense one-on-one brawl and I was here for it. I’m so unbelievably down for a part three especially after what the bittersweet ending left us with. Believe the hype.
