i…. don’t know what to say. it's so much bigger than the first one. the accomplishment is so spectacular. and their ability to make the connection with the first, hellooooo???? i'd like to say that i think i'm a little too young to have lived my childhood with film series like the lord of the rings etc. but to be able to experience the rise of a world like dune's, in one's own lifetime, is strange but so beautiful. as for the film itself, denis just managed to sur what had been achieved with the first. i think it's for the best, otherwise it would have been even harder to do better right after the first. the visuals, it's unreal what's accomplished and the beauty of it. i've never seen anything like it. timothée, you're doing a great job here, beautifully embodying the character, especially in a serious role. after that, i really liked the performance by zendaya and florence pugh. and the arena fight scene with austin butler, the tension and the b&w rendering, it was breathtaking. and let's not forget the IMAX experience: the film was made to be seen in such conditions, so the experience is total. i will definitely rewatch this as soon as possible and try to show it to as many people i can
