João Cachulo’s review published on Letterboxd:
At this point in time, I have no hesitation in stating that Denis Villeneuve is one of the most brilliant and fascinating contemporary filmmakers. The consistency of his output, too evident in an immaculate body of work, has little to no parallel in today's cinema landscape, and his foray into the realms of science fiction over the last decade has elevated the genre to a remarkable level of sophistication.
The second part of his adaptation of Frank Herbert's namesake work - which will presumably form a trilogy with the future Dune Messiah - is, much like the first, a marvel of directing within a canvas of absolutely staggering scale, which begs to be appreciated in the IMAX format it was conceived for. An unforgettable experience.
