Well, what can you say? Deadpool & Wolverine is not a good film in the classic sense and it's also not the great savior for the MCU that somehow noticeably brings the outdated franchise forward (except perhaps at the box office).

It's the long-teased meeting with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine for a buddy movie in the Marvel Multiverse and a love letter to the Fox Marvels.

And yes, beyond that, it's a big Deadpool show. A hail of meta gags, references, innuendos, one-liners, cameos and fan service. Anyone who likes that, will have fun here, 'cause there's a lot to discover. If you haven't been able to connect before, you most likely won't be able to connect this time either.

Humor is just a matter of taste. Some will laugh their heads off, others won't even bat an eyelid, that's just how it is. I definitely had a lot of fun with the film, even more than with its two predecessors.

Hugh Jackman has once again gotten himself into shape for his comeback as Wolverine and can once again impress in his signature role. There are nice surprises, the soundtrack is great and both the intro and showdown put a big grin on my face. Even the emotional core that exists underneath all the nonsense works for me and is really beautifully presented in the finale with Like A Prayer.

Yes, it's not Citizen Kane... boo boo boo, but if I want to see a Citizen Kane, then I'll just watch Citizen Kane . Deadpool & Wolverine is the ultimate fan film that gives fans what they want to see, nothing else, and on that front it completely delivers! A two-hour, entertaining, wild ride soaked in red and yellow with a high fun factor... and hey, sometimes that's enough.

Naja, was soll man sagen? Deadpool & Wolverine ist an sich kein guter Film im klassischen Sinne und er ist auch nicht der große Retter für das MCU, der das angestaubte Franchise irgendwie spürbar nach vorne bringt (außer vielleicht an den Kinokassen).

Das hier ist das bereits ewig angeteaste Zusammentreffen mit Hugh Jackmans Wolverine für ein Buddy-Movie im Marvel Multiversum und ein Liebesbrief an die Fox-Marvels.

Und ja, darüber hinaus ist es die große Deadpool Show. Ein Hagel aus Metagags, Referenzen, Anspielungen, One-Linern, Cameos und Fanservice. Wer drauf steht, wird hier seinen Spaß haben, denn es gibt jede Menge zu entdecken. Wer bis jetzt nichts damit anfangen konnte, wird auch dieses Mal sehr wahrscheinlich keinen Zugang dazu finden.

Humor ist eben Geschmackssache. Einige werden sich totlachen, andere nicht mal mit der Wimper zucken, so ist das halt. Ich hatte auf jeden Fall sehr viel Freude mit dem Film, sogar noch mehr als mit den beiden Vorgängern zuvor.

Hugh Jackman hat sich für sein Comeback als Wolverine erneut mächtig in Form gebracht und kann in seiner Paraderolle ein weiteres Mal überzeugen. Es gibt schöne Überraschungen, der Soundtrack fetzt und sowohl Intro als auch Showdown zaubern mir ein breites Grinsen ins Gesicht. Selbst der unter dem ganzen Quatsch vorhandene emotionale Kern funktioniert für mich und wird im Finale zu Like A Prayer nochmal richtig schön aufbereitet.

Ja, es ist kein Citizen Kane... buh buh buh, aber wenn ich einen Citizen Kane sehen will, dann schaue ich halt Citizen Kane. Deadpool & Wolverine ist der ultimative Fanfilm, der den Fans gibt was sie sehen wollen, nichts anderes, und an dieser Front liefert er komplett ab! Ein zweistündiger, unterhaltsamer, in rot und gelb getränkter, wilder Ritt mit hohem Fun-Faktor... und ey, das reicht doch manchmal auch vollkommen.
