Kevin Kasian’s review published on Letterboxd:
Mikey Madison delivers a star-making performance, bringing depth and grace to Anora’s journey. We soar with her through moments of fairy tale wonder and stand by her through the harsh lows.
This story could have easily fallen into familiar, trope-filled territory, but instead, it stays true to the honest, grounded reality that filmmaker Sean Baker has mastered throughout his career. That choice makes Anora feel wonderfully pure and uniquely special. The complexity and ambiguity of the final scene has lingered with me long after the credits rolled, leaving an emotional resonance that’s hard to shake.
