Kieran Triplett’s review published on Letterboxd:
An audiovisual behemoth, one that pushes the boundaries of what we consider sanctimonious or necessary spectacle. As a rare piece of escapism, this film transports us into a gorgeously rendered (and fully formed) world, retaining the novel’s ample character development and narrative thrust, without sacrificing one for the other.
Improving upon its predecessor in every way, this is miraculously well-crafted. It’s both emotionally and viscerally fulfilling, and evocative of the magic of cinema as an art form.
