Robert Eggers is the true Messiah here. He has brought a classic to life; this modern century's version of Manichithrathazh, more like Manichithratu, is nothing short of a masterpiece with its uncanny beauty. Willem Dafoe portraying Sunny was an unexpected delight I've been looking forward to; he, with ten faces, resembles Ravana. The memorable lines delivered by Thilakan are what I think of whenever I see him, having consumed everything and leaving no traces behind. Perhaps reserved for A10, the unparalleled, I can solely perceive Manichithrathazh in this piece and am already appreciating this classic.
