Does anyone do scale like Villeneuve? Saw this in 1570 IMAX (of course) and it was absolutely STUNNING.
I saw a friend's review saying that a couple of times while watching she had this feeling of "will I ever be able to make something like this" (heyyyy Trin) and I have to second that - this film is just so technically impressive that it almost made me upset 😭😭😭😭
I recently saw Blade Runner 2049 (also in 1570 IMAX) and I feel like a lot of the Dune P2 technical/visual praise I'm seeing I felt when I watched BR2049 - so to me that feels like confirmation that it's not JUST the source material that makes this movie excellent, I don't think anyone else could have achieved what Villeneuve has achieved....
Side note: Lady Jessica....this diva.... need her to release an album
Second side note: Austin Butler gagged me a bit... I wasn't necessarily a Butlernator before but now I get it. Imagine giving an Oscar-winning eyebrow acting performance with no eyebrows?
