Forrest Gump is a film with a lot of stuff going on. From shrimp fishing to Vietnam, the movie has plenty of plot points. The connecting tissue is the relationship between Jenny and Forest. The film has some beautiful themes of what being different is and to do what you love and want to do no matter what anyone says. Narratively Forest’s role is a protagonist who knows the truth. The truth being that we should follow our hearts and what we believe not what others think. The film is very visually pleasing with great set design and world. Overall a 5/5 classic
