Loved it even more upon the rewatch !
If I had the capability to comprehend the Dune novels I’d be on that shit ASAP..! 😵💫
The intrigue and atmosphere Denis Villeneuve has masterfully crafted has left me in NEED😫 of knowing what becomes of Arrakis, the Fremen, Paul & babygirl Chani.
Dune: Part 2, much like the first movie is a slow burning triumph with awe worthy vision, and aesthetic. The complexity in the world building (much like the first) continues to set up an epic, nuanced universe for the viewer to discover alongside Paul our protagonist. This instalment felt so much bigger, the scales far more grand than Dune: Part One.
All of the new avenues, story arcs and characters established are an inkling of how deep this story will dive.
At this point until further notice, the only thing on my mind is diving into Villenueuve’s imagination.. Brothers a film GOD. His artistry is exquisite. Actual cinematic brilliance.
The acting in conjunction with the incomparable sound/set/costume design, colour grading, visual effects, plot progression makes for an instant masterpiece. Modern classic no doubt.
The execution is flawless, although at times I did feel the emotional depth/ dialogue were a tad off kilter. It wasn’t ever jarring enough to remove me from immersion.
Also shouts out 2 of my favourite actresses Florence Pugh & Léa Seydoux ya’ll stole my mind body soul on the big screen. As well as Timothée big boy screaming hehe baddie 😮💨🙌🏽 whole cast got me hot 🥵
I truly loved Dune: Part 2. Everything felt more profound, more palpable and literally everything I wanted from a sequel.
