Genuinely great stunt casting of the absolute weasel that is Vincent Gallo. Tindersticks score absolutely on fire. Some of the greatest shot sex scenes of all time? The way body parts lose all context when shot so close makes everything erotic but also weirdly mechanical. It really becomes “the beast with two backs” when you see it like this. And it morphs from something beautiful to something absolutely horrific with almost no warning — the lines between pain and pleasure have almost never been more blurred.

At the end of the day, though, it’s always easier to root for a lady psycho than a dude psycho. Go figure!
