I was a big fan of this movie when it came out and its depiction of weaponized viral panic plays even better now than it did then, but I’m not sure anything in this film is as scary as the fact that it is now almost 20 years old. How is that possible???

(I ranked The Host fifth on my top ten list for 2007, behind No Country For Old Men, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, The King of Kong, and Zodiac. Damn, 2007 really was the wildest year for movies.)
