What a theatrical experience.

I can’t ever imagine seeing this film at home instead of the cinema.

It’s so stark, epic and grandiose. 

My only real gripe is that despite boasting a runtime looming close to the 3 hour mark, not to mention the previous film’s near 3 hour runtime, it still feels too short. 

This applies even to the point where there are small interactions between characters that should naturally have been in the film yet were noticeably left out.

The film’s biggest sin however is by far how little screen time Austin Butler gets. Don’t get me wrong, he gets a fair amount, but he is so amazing in the film that once he got introduced I never wanted his scenes to end.
